Abstract: The situation of Central Asian countries in 2018 can be summarized in four words ：improvement，development，consolidation and balance. They have made great achievements in politics and international relations，thanks to their effective measures in maintaining political stability and building good diplomatic relations with other superpowers. In the area of economic development，measures taken to promote growth have not turned out satisfactory. In terms of national security，they are still faced with serious challenges，with increasing risks of social disturbance. In 2018，Central Asian countries had good cooperation with China in the framework of Silk Road Initiative and contributed substantially to local stability and development. Generally speaking，the past 26 years of development has provided Central Asia countries with precious experience in exploring an independent path of development，and has helped them understand that national stability and security come with sustainable development，and that only opening up and cooperation can promote national development.
