Syrian militants allied with Turkey redeployed to Nagorno-Karabakh
Hundreds of Syrian militants loyal to Turkey were sent to Nagorno-Karabakh as The Wall Street Journal reported.
“Hundreds of fighters from Syrian militias allied with Turkey have joined the fighting between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the disputed enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh, and hundreds more are preparing to go,” the message said.

According to one of the interlocutors of the agency, the militants headed to Karabakh since the mid of September – by groups consisting of hundred people. Another Syrian tied with the rebels confirmed that hundreds of people arrived in the region; however, dozens have already returned.
Moreover, Turkey also organized military exercises in Azerbaijan and provided it with combat UAV.

The newspaper reminded that the first information about the enrollment of the militants by Turkey for participation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict appeared in July after the fighting broke out in the region.
Armenia repeatedly accused Turkey of the indirect support of Azerbaijan in combat actions in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Earlier, Armenia claimed one of its aircraft was shot down by a Turkish fighter jet, as the conflict in the disputed zone of Nagorno-Karabakh continues.
On September 27, the Azerbaijani side fired at settlements, as well as military units in Karabakh. Then the motorized rifle and tank subdivisions of the Azerbaijani army went on the offensive in the northern, southern, and southeastern directions. The Armenian government has declared martial law in the country.
